Why?

Whale's Health Scores provide a comprehensive measure of how effectively your team is using the platform to manage process documentation and training.

The Global Healthscore, displayed in your workspace, is a composite score derived from three sub-scores: Activity Health Score, Documenting Health Score, and Training Health Score (the latter only if your plan includes it).

Each sub-score is based on specific usage metrics within the Whale platform. Let's break down how each of these sub-scores is calculated and how they contribute to the Global Healthscore.

Activity Health Score

The Activity Health Score measures how actively your team is using Whale. It is calculated using the following metrics:

  1. % Active Users in the Last 30 Days: This metric indicates the percentage of users who have logged into Whale in the past 30 days.
  2. Login Frequency: This measures how often users log into the platform.
  3. Seats Occupied: This shows the proportion of available seats that are currently occupied by active users.

A higher Activity Health Score suggests that your team is regularly engaging with Whale, indicating active participation in process documentation and training activities.

Documenting Health Score

The Documenting Health Score assesses how effectively your team is managing and utilizing process documentation. It is derived from the following metrics:

  1. Editing Cards: The frequency with which users edit existing cards.
  2. Adding Cards: The number of new cards added to the platform.
  3. Card Views per User: The average number of times users view cards.

This score reflects your team's commitment to keeping process documentation up-to-date and ensuring that all members are accessing and utilizing the documented processes.

Training Health Score

The Training Health Score is applicable if your plan includes training features. It evaluates how well your team is engaging with the training aspects of Whale, using these metrics:

  1. Number of Training Flows: The count of training workflows created and utilized.
  2. Number of Quizzes: The frequency and usage of quizzes within the training modules.
  3. Number of Suggestions: The volume of user-generated suggestions for improving training and processes.

A higher Training Health Score indicates robust participation in training activities, helping to align your team more effectively and improve overall performance.

Global Healthscore

The Global Healthscore is an aggregate measure that combines the Activity Health Score, Documenting Health Score, and, if applicable, the Training Health Score. This score provides an overarching view of how well your team is leveraging Whale for process documentation management and training. A high Global Healthscore suggests that your team is proficient in using Whale, which should lead to quicker alignment and a higher return on investment (ROI).

By monitoring these health scores, you can identify areas where your team excels and areas that may need additional focus or improvement. This holistic view helps ensure that you are maximizing the value of Whale and achieving your team's documentation and training goals effectively.

Quarterly Badges Based on Global Health Score

In addition to the comprehensive metrics provided by Whale's Health Scores, users can earn quarterly badges that showcase their skill level and engagement with the platform. These badges are awarded based on your Global Healthscore and provide a benchmark of your team's performance compared to other customers within your industry.

Earning these badges not only highlights your team's proficiency in process documentation management and training but also serves as a motivational tool to maintain and improve your engagement with Whale. Displaying these badges can demonstrate your team's commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, enhancing your credibility within your industry.
